The Fryer sisters used a boat to retrieve a clutch of crocodile eggs from a nest in the centre of the lagoon at Mount St John Zoo. Owner St John Robinson made detailed notes of nest-building behaviour and the growth rates of hatchlings. Townsville Daily Bulletin, 4 March 1943, p.3
