Lucinda chair

Lucinda chair

This chair comes from the SS Lucinda paddle steamer used to convey the Governor of the Queensland, members of parliament and other dignitaries to coastal towns in central and northern Queensland. Queensland Premier Sir Samuel Griffith chaired the committee which drafted the Federal Constitution while on board the Lucinda in 1891 on the Hawkesbury River.
